Sheldon Cooper, known as “Coach Coop,” joined the board to have a lasting impact on the lives of young athletes and their families. Starting as the Director of Football and Equipment, he now serves as the President of the New Baltimore Ravens. Coach Coop is dedicated to helping players achieve their goals—no matter what they are—because, to him, the sky is the limit. He strives to maintain and shape a culture of hard work and sportsmanship while bringing a competitive edge to the team’s approach every day.
Football is more than a game to Coach Coop; it’s his passion. It’s not just about scores or stats but about the memories created while playing a game that teaches life’s fundamentals—both socially and physically. He believes the sport comes with moments of heartbreak as well as overwhelming success stories, both big and small. Coach Coop looks forward to watching the Ravens organization thrive for years to come. Above all, he cherishes the time spent with athletes, sharing his knowledge and passion to help them maximize their potential.

Samir Alashmaly is in his fifth year with the Ravens organization. He began as Equipment Director during his first year and is now serving his second year as Vice President. Over the years, he has been an assistant coach at multiple levels, including being part of the 2022 JV and 2024 Freshman Championship teams.
Beyond football, Samir is deeply involved in wrestling, serving as the head coach for both Anchor Bay Middle Schools and assisting with several local youth wrestling clubs. His coaching journey began in the East Detroit area, where he worked with youth, middle school, and high school wrestlers from 1999 through 2008.
Samir is married to Karen, and together they have four children: Sami, Gabe, Eli, and Isaiah. Three of his children have played and continue to play football for the Ravens. He is proud to contribute to the organization’s legacy, helping to provide an environment where every child can form friendships, learn and grow in their sport, achieve their goals, and most importantly, have fun.

Mandy Taylor is the Secretary for the New Baltimore Ravens, coming into her third season with the organization. Mandy’s passion lies in making sure every child is supported, included, and celebrated. As the "puppeteer" behind the scenes, she plays a vital role in helping both cheer and football thrive. Mandy has one child, Charley, a bruiser on the field with a kind heart off of it. With a background in office management and marketing, she brings invaluable skills to the Ravens. Mandy’s favorite part of her role is watching the kids develop over the season. Her goal is to ensure the Ravens remain a well-oiled machine, especially during the transition to the new league.

Alicia Kaufmann is in her third year as Treasurer and has been a proud part of the Ravens organization for four years. Her involvement is a true family affair, with her husband serving as a coach and their two sons playing football for the Ravens. Alicia is passionate about supporting the team’s success both on and off the field and is dedicated to helping the Ravens grow and thrive.

Melissa Hill is in her third year as Cheer Director and fifth year with the New Baltimore Ravens. She is proud to be part of a strong and supportive community and enjoys working alongside the board to build a program that benefits the kids. Melissa is a proud mom of a daughter and son who both participate in the program and share a love for cheer and football. Her husband also dedicates his time as a coach, making the Ravens a true family commitment. As Cheer Director, Melissa is committed to growing the program and providing opportunities to prepare young athletes for their future, all while building their confidence and ensuring they have fun.

Lou Boggs has been an integral part of the Ravens football program for the past three years, serving as a dedicated coach who brings passion and expertise to the field. Football is truly a family affair for Lou—his son plays on the team, and his daughter participates in cheerleading. His wife has also been actively involved in the program, serving as the cheer team mom for the past two years.
As the Football Director, Lou is deeply committed to teaching the fundamentals of the game while fostering a love and respect for football among players, parents, and the community. His leadership and dedication ensure a positive environment where young athletes can grow both on and off the field.

Candi Brisson is the Safety Director for the New Baltimore Ravens. She has three children who have participated in the Ravens program in both football and cheer. Candi has lived in the Anchor Bay area for ten years with her husband and children and is entering her fifth season with the organization. As a Registered Nurse with an Emergency Medicine and Cardiology background, Candi also holds certifications in adult and pediatric trauma. Her goal as Safety Director is to ensure the safety and health of all athletes by preventing and monitoring concussive injuries, allowing them to stay safe, healthy, and on the field.

Amanda Decker is entering her 15th year involved with youth football and her fifth year with the New Baltimore Ravens. She and her husband, Dennis, have three sons who are passionate about football. Her oldest, a 21-year-old, went through the youth football program and Anchor Bay High School's football program and is now a coach for Ravens football. Her ninth grader is currently part of the Anchor Bay football program after completing the youth football program, and her fourth grader is in his fifth year as a Raven. Amanda is a high school teacher in St. Clair Shores and has previously served as Secretary of the Anchor Bay Sports Boosters for three years and as a team mom for the Ravens for three seasons. She is excited to join a new league and looks forward to working with Ravens families for a successful season.
